Connecting PLM and ERP systems with a Universal Connector II
The solution aims to create a universal connector capable of integrating systems widely used in Spanish industry, such as ERP or PLM. In this second phase of the project, improvements to the connector between the two softwares are being developed and its connection with the CircularPass digital product passport is being investigated.
Results
Two major results are expected from the Universal Connector Phase II project.
1. The expected result is to be able to communicate easily, abstractly and bidirectionally between different digital systems thanks to Universal Connector.
2. Integrate the use of the digital product passport in the ERP and PLM software of the project partners.
Impact
• Reduction of costs derived from data integration in companies, mainly costs of time, licences and specialised resources.
• Highlighting the time savings of sharing documents (electronic sets of master data, with a size of GB to be transmitted) via the connector, so that a system with a digital document can universally transfer it to any other computer system.
